12 Benefits of Massage Therapy

I LOVE My Clients…Thank YOU!

I have grown because of my work with you. Thank you….

My clients teach me so much. My clients have had many challenges and seek me out as their Massage Therapist to find the ability to quiet their mind.

My clients have been lost. My clients are very creative, although most don’t know it…YET.  They say to me “You inspire me…what would YOU do?” I answer…hoping my life wisdom will bring you some relief.

You want to be next to the Dalai  Lama, only to find out…you are already that and so much more – your angels are freeing and  transforming the world, yourself and your family in powerful ways.

Thank you for mirroring my own faults, insecurities and challenges. I discover that your struggles are not much different from mine and you and I walk this life journey on this earth together.

Thank you for sharing your fears with me and knowing that my dedication to you did not change after you confessed your truth during our session. I admire your love, laughter as well as tears, this is how you discover your true self.

Thank you for helping me understand that I am a professional, because of you I am at work on time…even if sometimes I don’t “feel” like it! When I see you, I instantly feel relaxed, full-filled and satisfied. My treatment with you is like treating myself.

I love you, my clients….my clients who have been to Paris to model, those who are love sick, those who come to see me weekly to prevent stress, clients who travel the world serving in the Peace Corps., those who overcame cancer and those who overcame loss, those growing new life, those who save lives and those who care for our future generation All.Day.Long.

Thank you for all the lessons, love, gifts, growth and repeated reminders that we are all one. And lastly, thank you for trusting me with your healthcare needs and trusting my ability, as a highly trained professional, unconventional tattooed Bob Marley and Wailers fan (since the age of 11) and mother of three, to care for you.

Namaste…

Nama means bow, as means I, and te means you. Therefore, namaste literally means “bow me you” or “I bow to you.”

Dosha Test

Below is a Dosha test you can take on your own.   An Ayurveda Consultation is recommended for a more accurate result (determine *Vikruti). I cannot treat any specific health condition, but I can provide you with a beneficial understanding of how you can best stay balanced according to your constitution, which may greatly help heal a current condition you have or prevent it!

This test will give you a fairly good idea of the levels of your doshas, or essential constitution, as understood by Ayurveda.  Prakruti is the total of the three bio energies (Vata, Pitta, Kapha), governing during your conception, so basically whatever was predominant in mother when she became pregnant.  This Prakruti stays constant throughout your life. The main Dosha of a person is referred to as “body type” (Psycho Somatic Constitution).

* Vikruti is an ever-changing state – in Sanskrit Vikruti means ‘deformity’, or a deformed reflection- the current state of your dosha in a diseased or abnormal state. Think of Vikruti as an ever changing hourglass or sundial which measures how close to or far off we are from our original constitution. So, when our Prakruti which is a MIX of A + B + C (three doshas), gets all jumbled up by one or the other of the doshas increasing or decreasing, it is referred to as Vikruti.

Vikruti will always act up during: acute stress, menopause, trauma, physical stress, surgery, after antibiotics or recovery from illness, season, moving house, divorce, or any other traumatic event. Vikruti is changing with age, and, of course imbalanced lifestyle and junk food or lack of exercise. We should try to get back to our ORIGINAL PRAKRUTI.

Remember that everyone has all three doshas, but in varying degrees, which contributes to the uniqueness of each individual. After reading each description, mark 0 to 7 in the box provided. *Note that values 2 and 5 are not assigned at all so do not use them in your scoring.  You’ll get a clearer picture of your true doshic nature this way.

Sarva Mangalam Bhavatu – Chants of India

Reiki

The word Reiki comes from two Japanese words, one Rei, which means ‘Universal’, and then Ki which means ‘life force or life energy’. The two together – ‘Reiki’ means ‘Universal life energy and the definition of the universal life energy is something that is in everything that is living. Reiki is a concept in many ancient and traditional health care systems, such as Chinese and Ayurvedic medicine. Your physical, emotional or spiritual well-being will be balanced when you receive a healing.

How can Reiki help me?
Reiki assists in bringing healing to your mind, body and spirit and to achieve a better energetic balance. You will experience stress and pain reduction as well as relaxation, which triggers your natural healing abilities, and improves and maintains your overall health. Reiki is excellent for resolving any physical, mental, emotional and spiritual issues of any kind and it gives wonderful results. You will leave with a feeling of relaxation and well-being.
You may notice becoming lighter and less congested in your body/mind. I have had clients report a feeling of floating. This is normal and a bit like a cleanse/detox eliminating excess static build-up of energetic waste.
Every individual’s body is different and takes from a healing what it needs. Some may come to a healing session for a physical ailment and then find themselves working on an emotional issue and vice versa. Reiki relieves pain, stress, releases emotions, promotes healing mentally, brings vitality, improves self confidence, helps with insomnia and depression, reduces the need for addictive behavior such as alcohol and drugs.

Reiki – feel yourself release physically and emotionally…
  • Relaxation
  • Anxiety relief
  • Stress relief

The benefits of Reiki are endless. Reiki even works through Time and Space… With ‘Distant Healing’, you can receive a Reiki treatment anywhere in the world—or have Reiki energy sent into your past or future.

Does Reiki Have Side Effects?

You will mostly feel relaxed and uplifted during and after a Reiki  treatment. However, sometimes a person will have what is called a  healing crisis. Their vibration goes up and toxins that have been stored in your body will be released into the bloodstream, which your liver and kidneys will then filter and remove from your system!  This may make you feel a bit weak or nauseous and may last a day or more, depending on your body. I suggest drinking more fluids and eating light when this happens.  This is a natural process-your body is cleansing itself, which is good!
